Gallery founder, Shara Banisadr is an interdisciplinary international artist who works in several areas of art, as opposed to a more traditional artist who works in only one medium. She is the artistic director of the Red Studio, a visual artist, an exhibition organizer and teaches modern art at Montgomery College,The School of Art + Design, as well as at the Guy Mason Art Center, Chevy Chase Recreation Center and privately.
